In accordance with guidance and protocol from the Government, Public Health England and the HSE, we are now re-starting construction work on a controlled and phased basis.
Our priority remains the safety, health and wellbeing of sub-contractors during these unprecedented times.
Activity levels will commence in a measured way, only on tasks that can be carried out according to the guidelines, and increasing steadily over time with safe and well-planned operating procedures.
The safety of people on sites is our number one priority. All projects must adhere to the Construction Leadership Council's Site Operating Procedures to ensure social distancing requirements are met and minimise the risk of spread of infection. We have rigorous procedures in place to ensure everyone on site follows these measures, which very much falls within our existing H&S protocols governing safe site activity and will be enforced as such.
The need to observe social distancing requires cooperation and understanding, and our teams are working closely with supply chain partners to agree practices and programmes so we continue to operate in a safe environment. Please see our Covid-19 Safety Procedures on the Health & Safety page.
Our office-based staff were working from home to avoid unnecessary travel, however we found it necessary to furlough the staff whilst sites were closed. We are now in the process of staff returning to work in July on a part time basis, once preparations have been put in place under the H&S rules and regulations for COVID-19 to make the office a safe working place for everyone.
